WELCOME TO BAILLIAGE DE RUSSIE
Dear members, dear friends,
The 10th Grand Chapitre St.Petersburg, our jubilee, was a historical and memorable event!
One of the highlights was the traditional midday shooting of the canon from the walls of St. Peter and Paul fortress on Saturday, 24th September, made by George H. Browon Jr., Bailli Delegue of the USA, Member of the Conseil d'Administration, and Induction officer of the new members, in presence of our guests frpm Singapore, Indonesia, Lebanon, Soth Africa, USA, Sweden and of course Russia.
The 10th Grand Chapitre celebrations strated on Thursday, 22nd September with traditional welcome-dinner in the Vodka Room № 1 with a tour and tasting in the unique vodka museum. On Friday, 23 September, our guests spent the day outside St.Petersburg; they travelled by boat to Peterhof, visited the Grand Palace and the Konstantinovskiy Palace, restored and opened in the presence of all the world leaders on the occasion of the 300th Anniversary of the City. In the evening our guests had cultural programme in the theaters of St.Petersburg, followed by a late dinner in the Caviar Bar of the Grand Hotel Europe, where most guests stayed.
On Saturday morning the guests gathered at the St. Peter and Paul fortress to witness the traditional midday canon shooting made my George H. Brown Jr, which was followed by a glass of champagne on the walls of the fortress. The lucheon took place aboard the beautifull ship New Island, with a cruise on the Neva. The afternoon was busy with a visit to Hermitage and sightseeing.
At 18.00 the Induction ceremony for the new members in the theater of the Yusupov Palace took place, followed by cocktails and gala dinner, prepared by highly professional team of our member Dmitry Goutsait, the owner of the catering company "Oscar catering". The background music with surprises was well prepared and orchestrated by the conductor Andrey Alexeyev and his orchestra.
I wish to thank all the guests coming from far and wide to join us these memorable days and I'm very thankful to the members of my team, who made ou jubilee Grand Chapitre so unforgettable.

The Bailli of St Petersburg Regional branch of the Bailliage of Russia of the Chaine des Rotisseurs, Leonid Garbar, and General Manager of the Novotel, Edgard Pauly, have the pleasure of inviting you for the first diner amical in 2011, which will take place in Novotel Hotel on February 26th, 2011, at 19.45. The restaurant is located at Mayakovskogo street 3A. The menu for the dinner was worked out by Chef Feuvrier Philippe, 1 * Michelin Auberge de la Roche, Morteau, who will fly over to prepare the diner amical in the hotel. The price of the dinner (including wines and drinks) is RUB 4.500, per person and has to be paid directly in the restaurant. The welcome cocktail will start at 19:00.

"IL GRAPPOLO" JOINED CHAINE DES ROTISSEURS
On March 24, 2010 Diner Amical of Chaine des Rotisseurs took place at Il Grappolo, family Italian restaurant. The host of the dinner was member of the Chaine, Restaurateur Aram Mnatsakanov, whose restaurants at different times were visited by many famous personalities including Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev.
Huge windows with the view to church of St Simeon and Anna, spots of light on oak floorboards, solid tables, elegant chandeliers and welcoming waiters – that’s how the meeting of the world’s oldest gastronomic association members began. The unexpected surprise for the guests was the performance by “Frukty” musical band playing in their usual cheerful rhythm.
Chef Fabrizio Fatucci, native Italian, worked out the menu that won praise of Chaine des Rotisseurs’ members. The honorary guest of the diner, member of International Board of Directors of La Chaine Mr Jaakko Nuutila expressed his high opinion about the quality of specialties, paired wines and excellent service. His special praise was given to Tiramisu, which was “the best ever tried” by Mr Nuutila. In conclusion of the gastronomic review, he handed out the plaque of Chaine des Rotisseurs to the restaurant team headed by Aram Mnatsakanov.

Chaine Restaurant L'Europe of the Grand Hotel Europe won the city competition"My favourite Restaurant". L'Europe Restaurant received the 1st Price with Diamond Award including a Media price of 5000$ among 72 best restaurants of St. Petersburg which participated in the competition. Programme was running on TV channel TNT all over the year. Also "Best Restaurant" competition organized by patronage of the city administration with more than 300 participants took place recently. L'Europe won 1st price in the category "fine dining" and Overall Prize as "Best Restaurant in St. Petersburg". Let's congratulate L'Europe Restaurant with these fantastic awards!
