“ST PETERSBURG WINTER”


Program


Day 1: Thursday, December 3rd, 2009 - “Welcome to St. Petersburg!”


Individual arrivals in St. Petersburg. Transfer to Grand Hotel Europe (GHE). Free time.


18:45: Departure from GHE to “Russian Vodka Room” restaurant for Welcome and Reception Dinner.

 

 

Day 2: Friday, December 4th, 2009 - “Russian Countryside”


09:00: After breakfast departure from GHE for Pushkin to visit the Catherine’s Palace and the Amber Room. A traditional Russian luncheon will follow at the “Podvorie” Restaurant with vodka and champagne included. Russian folkloric musical entertainment will make this event one of the unforgettable experiences in a casual and warm atmosphere. – After lunch return to your hotel.


18:30: Optional evening program will start. Departure from GHE to a ballet or opera performance. The program to be advised later. (Optional programs are not included in the price of the basic tour.)


22:00: Late Dinner for all the international guests to our Grand Chapitre.

   


Day 3: Saturday – December 5th, 2009 – “Imperial St. Petersburg, and Gala Dinner”

       

09:00: After breakfast we’ll start our day of Introduction to St. Petersburg including a comprehensive sightseeing and visits to the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace and the Hermitage Museum, followed by a lunch at the “Kuhnya” Restaurant. After the lunch our tour shall continue to the Yousupov Palace. The Yousupov family was the wealthiest family in pre-revolutionary Russia. After the tour return to your hotel.

       

19:00: Our Festive Gala Evening will start with Welcome cocktails, followed by the Induction Ceremony of new members. At about 20:00 the Gala Dinner will start. Location for the Gala is the Grand Hotel Europe.

       


Day 4: Sunday – December 6th, 2009 – “Good Bye St. Petersburg, and/or Welcome Moscow!”


Option 1: Individual departures from your hotel to the airport if you are returning home.


Option 2: Morning group departure to the airport for those who booked the Moscow option. Upon arrival a comprehensive Moscow City Introduction tour will follow including the Red Square, the Kremlin and other famous places. After the tour, check in to the Baltschug Kempinski Hotel.


12:30: A Rotisseurs lunch will follow at the hotel restaurant.


14:30: Departure for an inside visit to the Moscow Kremlin and to the Armoury Museum. Return to the hotel.


18:00: Optional evening program: Departure to the Bolshoi Theatre for a “Toska” Opera performance by G. Puccini.


22:00: After the theatre a Moscow Night City tour will follow before returning to the hotel. Ends approx. 24:00



Day 5: Monday - December 7th, 2009 –“Life in Moscow”


11:00: A most unique visit to the backstage of the Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre.


13:00: Lunch in a local restaurant. Until 15:00


15:00: A shopping opportunity for souvenirs and Russian Christmas gifts to take back home. Return to hotel. 17:00


19:00 Departure to a local Dinner Amical in a Moscow Chaine member restaurant. Return to the hotel.


Day 6: Tuesday – December 8th, 2009 – “Good Bye, Russia”


Departure from hotel to the Moscow airport for return flight back home.



Prices:

Basic St. Petersburg tour program $1.785 (USA) per person in double room; Single Room supplement $330 per person. Price includes the Gala Dinner ticket.

Optional Theatre evening in St. Petersburg: $190 per person including transfers and theatre ticket.

Optional Moscow Extension tour: $1.390 per person in double room; Single Room supplement $300 per per son. Price includes one way airfare from St. Petersburg to Moscow.

Optional Theatre evening in Moscow: $190 per person including transfers and theatre ticket.
